Whew! Does it feel like autumn where you are?  It sure doesn’t here in Simi Valley – 104 degrees today – yikes!!  Oh well, forget the weather – let’s talk stamping!!

October Card Kits

Once again, I have 2 different kits for Club Members/Merchandise Buyers.  The first kit includes fall, Christmas, and a general card and the second kit is solely Christmas.  Pick your favorite!  I know - decisions, decisions!!

 

DIY Card Kit #1 for October (aka Club Members or those who wish to purchase merchandise)

This Kit features the Arrange A Wreath Bundle – Item #152587 (page 127 of the Annual Catalog). I like this wreath bundle; it is so versatile, as you’ll see below!  Should you choose to purchase this bundle, these are the cards you’ll be able to make with your FREE kit…

                                 

                                 

 

I CASE’d this card from Amy Koenders.  It is perfect for Thanksgiving or as a 

Thank You card and features stamping.  (The leaves and acorns are not part of this bundle.They come from the Beautiful Autumn Bundle in the August-December Mini 

Catalog (page 46).)

                     

Next is another wonderful card I created for Thanksgiving. It also makes a great male-oriented birthday card. I featured the Wreath Builder Dies and then stamped the leaves 

and die cut them out.

 

 

   

The third card is also using the Wreath Builder Dies.  This is CASE’d from Rosanne Mulhern.   Just stamp and die cut the wreath, then cut it in half to make it appear oval.  Slick, huh?!

 

 The final card, my creation, is a Christmas card.  I love this card.  So simple, so serene and an easy card for making multiples.

BONUS CARDS for Kit #1:

I was on a roll when working with the wreath builder, so I have a few “extra” cards to offer you…

 

Additional Card #1 is a “Book Fold” card using the Evergreen Forest Embossing Folder (page 35 of the August-December Mini Catalog) along with the Wreath Builder Dies.  What a lovely Christmas card.

 

 Additional Card #2 makes a beautiful wedding card, anniversary card or get well card.  This was CASE’d from Lori Pinto.  I love how she paired Smoky Slate and Pool Party to make such a soft design.

 

Additional Card #3 was inspired by Christine Blain. It uses the In Good Taste DSP (on the top) and a non-Stampin’ Up! polka-dotted paper on the bottom.

One last idea using the Wreath Builder Dies…

   

How about a 4 Seasons Home Décor item?  I made a wreath for each season and added the scripture from Ecclesiastes, “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”

 

DIY Card Kit #2 for October (aka Club Members or those who wish to purchase merchandise)

The second Card Kit features the Poinsettia Petals Bundle – Item #155148 (page 16 of the August-December Mini Catalog). Love these poinsettias!!  Should you choose to purchase this bundle, below are the cards you will make with your FREE kit…

 

Does this card look familiar? It should…I offered it as one of the Christmas Cards in August.  The background is a new “scrappy”technique which I really like.

        

                                      

Next is a stamped and die-cut poinsettia.  I really like the soft look of this Christmas card 

and using the non-traditional “pink” color.  I CASE’d this from Tina Shaw.

 

 

 Get ready to color!! Using the Poinsettia Place DSP, I colored the poinsettias and then stamped, colored, and die cut the top poinsettia and leaves.

 

     

                 

Now…this last card is another favorite of mine.  I loved using two different embossing 

folders for the background and the Gold Foil gives it that special “pop”.  I can see 

this card being used as a birthday, sympathy, or get-well cards.  Thank you, Gail Ellis,  

for the great idea.

Zoom Card Class.

I have been “toying” with the idea of trying to have a Zoom card class, so, this is how I see it working... 

1.    Once I receive the merchandise from Stampin’ Up! for the orders placed, I will send an email letting you know that it is ready for pick up.  I will also schedule 3 separate Zoom meetings for approximately one week later (specific times/dates will be given) – 1 class for Card Kit #1, 1 class for Card Kit #2 and 1 class for Card Kit #3. 

2.    Invitations to join these Zoom classes will be for only those who purchased that corresponding card kit – i.e. you purchase Card Kit #1 and you get invited to Zoom Card Class #1.

3.    I will choose 1 card for us to make during the Zoom Class and will email everyone which card it will be, the instructions for that card, a list of supplies to have on hand in addition to the products you receive from me, and the Zoom link.

4.    Everyone logs on at the appointed time and we make the card.  I will also answer any questions you may have and give additional tips/suggestions as needed.

5.    So...what do you think?  If this works out for all involved, we may try doing this again the following month.

Christmas Cards

And finally…Christmas Cards for October. Both cards will be the assemble-only type meaning everything that requires die cutting, punching, stamping, etc. will be provided for you.  Instructions for assembly will be emailed.  You will need to provide all adhesives. Additional tools required may be a paper cutter and scissors

This is CASE’d from Sara Levin and is made with the Plaid Tidings Designer 

Series Papers, Embossing Folders, and Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack.

This card is great card for Christmas or Hannukah (if you do not include the inside message). I used The Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper and an embossing folder for the background.
