November Classes/Club

This one is going to be short and sweet.  These are the cards for this month's classes.

When I saw this card, I knew we had to make it! I made modifications to the original design which I saw on Splitcoaststampers. Unfortunately, I don't remember who posted it.

Love the simplicity of this card. Another great card I saw online.

A simple card to round out the class.

Well, that about does it for this month. Sorry for the "rushed" post. I promise to do better in the future:)

October Classes

The calendar may tell us it is "fall", but the temperature outside is definitely shouting, "SUMMER"!!!!! But, we have to ignore the heat and concentrate on chilly evenings, apple cider and eggnog...so, all of our cards for this month's class are designed with fall and winter in mind.

My class schedule for October is:
Friday, October 16 - 9:00 am to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 pm
Saturday, October 17 - 9:00 am to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 pm
     Sunday, October 18 - 1:00 to 4:00 pm
Monday, October 19 - 9:00 am to noon

Come join us for a morning or afternoon of creativity. I have availability for all classes except for Saturday morning and will maintain a waiting list for that time slot. Hope to see you in class!!

Here are our projects:

This card was CASE'd from Tami White. I have to tell you, it's one of my favorites.  I've made this card for a birthday, a wedding and a shower. It would also be great as a thinking of you or sympathy card. Love it!!

I made this card using the new Hearth & Home Thinlits dies that are in the Holiday Catalog. I layered vellum on top of the Very Vanilla window to give it a "frosted" look. Pretty cute, don't you think?

Here is a simple card to be used as a thank you card or Thanksgiving card. I used the leaves stamp (colored with Stampin' Markers) from the, "A Little Something" stamp set that also appears in the Holiday Catalog.

And, lastly, we have a Christmas card.  It isn't too early to be thinking about what card to make...and this is an easy one. Using the foil paper gives it the little touch of shine that says, "Merry"!!

One other thing I want to mention - I will be having the Christmas Card Retreat weekend November 20-22 and December 4-6. If you don't know what this is, give me a call or text or email me and I'll get a flyer to you. And, if you haven't looked at my Christmas Card section on this blog recently, please do, I've posted new card designs.

Thanks for stopping by...see you next month!!!

August Classes

Well...it seems that the only time I go on this blog is when it's time to post pictures for the next class (sigh). Time just seems to get away from me and then, poof, class time again!  So forgive my inattentiveness in blogging, BUT, I hope you enjoy the projects posted each month. Anyway, here we go...

August classes will be:
Friday, August 7 (9:00 am to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 pm)
Saturday, August 8 (9:00 am to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 pm)
     Sunday, August 9 (1:00 to 4:00 pm)
Monday, August 10 (9:00 am to noon)
I do have availability for the Friday afternoon, Saturday afternoon and Sunday classes. And will maintain a waiting list for the others. Give me a call, text me or shoot me an email if you would like to join us. Now for the projects.

This is a very cute folded card that I CASE'd from Linda Bauwin who CASE'd it from Dawn Griffith (Don't you just love others sharing their ideas? It sure makes classes easier for me since I am not as creative as these gals are!!).  I really like folded cards, probably due to the "surprise" factor of the card.

I apologize the whomever first created this card. I saw it somewhere, but don't remember where or by whom. Love the simplicity yet vibrant look of the card.

I saw this card on the Splitcoaststampers site. The original was made by Brenda Quintana and I just changed it up a bit. Those of you who know me know that I LOVE layers, so I had to add a few to this one.

And, finally, this card was found on the Stampin' Connection website. Isn't this elegant? And, it is very versatile - use it as a sympathy card, a note card or even as a masculine birthday card.  Love it!

By the way, if you are not aware of a wonderful website for ideas called splitcoaststampers, you need to be.  Every stamp set that Stampin' Up! has is on that site and can give you thousands of ideas for stamp projects.  Here's the site:
www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery
After you get there, scroll down and choose Stampin' Up! You can then find all of the stamp sets in alphabetical order. Contact me if you have a problem.

That's it for this month.  Have a good one and thanks for looking!!

July Class Projects

July's classes are next weekend (July 10 through the 13). Call me, text me or email if you are interested in coming and haven't registered. There are spaces available for all classes except for Friday and Saturday mornings.  Take a look below at the projects we will be doing.

I saw this card on the Song of My Heart Stampers blog and made it just as it appeared, but then decided to switch it up and use the Cherry on Top Washi Tape to make the cake layers and, ta-da, here's what it came out like:

Pretty cute, huh?!! This is the version we will be making in class.

I love the simplicity and monochromatic look of this card. I CASE'd this from the Song of My Heart Stampers blog (again)!

Now, this card was CASE'd from the Stampin' Up! Catalog and Idea Book. The card they made was part of the Tin of Cards Project Kit (page 152). I really liked the way the Designer Series Paper was arranged and designed this one using the same technique.

If you like folded cards - or what I call, "Engineered Cards", then you're going to love this one. From the outside it looks like a regular layered card, but when you open it...

this is what you get!!! Great, right?! I saw this on several blogs, but utilized the "how to" and color scheme from Mary Brown. Thank you, Mary, for your thorough instructions.

I think you will enjoy making these cards, so please get in contact with me to schedule your class.  Thanks for looking!!

June Class Projects

Stamp Classes are this weekend. I have availability on Saturday, Sunday or Monday.  Give me a call, send me a text or email if you would like to come. Here is what we will be doing:

My inspiration for this came from a card created by Lela Holper.
It looks nothing like Lela's, but I loved the concept and went with it.
Great look - don't you think!

This creative folded card doesn't look like much.  It's cute,
but when you open it up...

you get that, "Wow!" factor.

We were supposed to do this card in the May
Class, but we ran out of time.  So, here it is again!

Don't you just love the simplicity of this card?
It's perfect for a much-needed male birthday card.
I CASE'd this from Lela Holper.

Thanks for taking a look - hope to see you in class!

Projects for May Classes

The saying goes, "April showers bring May flowers".  Well, in our case it brings May flowers, ribbons and hearts.  At least, that's the theme for this month's cards.  Here they are:

Isn't this a clever way to use the Bow Builder Punch?

Here is a great card to use as a birthday card or,
change it up a bit and make it into a Father's Day card.
The original design of this card was found on Nicole Tugrul's blog.

I think this card is just too cute!!
Can't remember where I saw it.

This one was on Jodi McKinney's blog.  The pop of color on
Basic Gray paper is stunning and I love this stamp set!

That's all for May - have a good one and thanks for stopping by!!!

Class Projects for April

Spring is in the air and all of our cards for this month reflect it...

This cute card was CASE'd from one I saw on
Nichole Tugrul's blog. Isn't it just darling?!

I love this card and it can be easily converted into a
Mother's Day card.  This is CASE'd from a card made
by Sandy Hancock.

I just love the simplicity of this card. "love" says
it all. Sorry I can't give credit to whomever
gave me the inspiration for it.

Here's another great "springy" card or
Mother's Day card that I CASE'd from
Karine Cartier.

That's if for this month.  Thanks for stopping by!!

Class Projects for March

Hello Everyone!  I wanted to post the projects that we will be doing in class this weekend.  These cards were seen on either Pinterest or Stampin' Connection and I apologize for not being able to give credit to the person(s) who originally created them. All cards have been modified to my taste/style.

This could easily be adapted and made as an Easter card.

So could this one.

Use this birthday card for everyone - males, females or children!
And...while you're at it, make this mini coffee cup as a gift or party
favor (my creation).

In case you haven't seen my class schedule, here are the dates and
times for this weekend's classes:

Friday, March 13:  9:00 am to noon; 1:30 to 4:30 pm
