November 2020

Well…the holidays are right around the corner…Thanksgiving in a few weeks and then, before you know it, Christmas will be here.  We will be celebrating a little differently this year – smaller gatherings (or possibly none), less travel, no hectic Christmas shopping, and fewer holiday outings.  Maybe the necessity of having to slow down the pace is a blessing in disguise.  We will now have the time to celebrate the holiness of this time of year.  We now have the time to think about what is most important to us… relationships.  We can still show the love we have for our friends and family even if it is by way of Zoom, phone calls, emails and through the postal system.  Which makes your handmade cards more important than ever!!

November Card Kits

I am featuring 1 Bundle this month but offering 2 different card kits.  I used the In the Pines Bundle (Item #155182 on page 43 of the August-December Mini Catalog).  I know, I know – you already have enough pine trees, but trust me, you don’t!  This is a beautiful bundle, you’ll see!!

DIY Card Kit #1 for November (you must purchase the In the Pines Bundle to make these cards)

All of these cards have been made as Christmas cards, but they can very easily be adapted for other occasions – just add a different sentiment!

I CASE’d this card from Verna Mullen.  It is so serene

and peaceful.  The background is vellum embossed with the

Evergreen Forest Embossing Folder (page 35 in the August-December

Mini Catalog). Beautiful!  Need a male birthday card?  This could be it!!

I LOVE this card.  It was CASE’d from Emma Goddard.  The trees

are made from sponged, Whisper White card stock with some

subtle, sponged snowbanks in the background. I also see this as a

birthday card or sympathy card or get-well card.

The third card is also CASE’d from Leah Fedynak.  The line of trees

are stamped to look like a forest.  Does it remind you of winter?

The slimline card is the piece-de-resistance.  Isn’t it beautiful?

The picture doesn’t do it justice! Inspired by Marine Wiplier, the

background is embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder

(page 37 in the August-December Mini Catalog).

Pricing for Card Kit #1 (includes: instructions sent via email, pre-cut pieces that cannot be done with the Pine Woods Dies, and embellishments/ribbon – no stamped sentiments are included).

FREE: to anyone who purchases the In the Pines Bundle and is picking up from here

 or $7.50 if mailing

FREE: The Winter Snow Embossing Folder (page 37 in the August-December Mini Catalog)

DIY Card Kit #2 for November (you must purchase the In the Pines Bundle to make these cards)

The second Card Kit features the same In the Pines Bundle and you can get if FREE if you purchase the In the Pines Bundle and the Evergreen Forest Embossing Folder!!

This card is CASE’d from Narelle Farrugia and features

the background embossed with the Dainty Diamonds

Embossing Folder (page 184 of the Annual Catalog) and

the Layering Circles Dies (page 181 of the Annual Catalog).

Did you notice I made this one a birthday card?

This darling card is an easel card.  Above is the front of the

card and…

here it is opened and standing up.  Super cute!  I can hear

the moose strolling through the forest of pines, ahhh.  I

CASE’d this from Mary Deatherage.  In addition to using the

In the Pines Bundle and Layering Circle Dies, it features the

Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper.

This little gem is once again CASE’d from Mary Deatherage.

The background is embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing

Folder and uses the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper.

Would you send this as a Hanukkah card? I think I would.

Isn’t this a sweet slimline card?  I was inspired by Heike StartenWerkstatt (not sure

I got that right, so apologies if it is incorrect).  I used 3 embossing folders –

Evergreen Forest, Winter Snow and Tasteful Textile (page 185 of the Annual

Catalog).  It also features the Red Foil paper.

Pricing for Card Kit #2 (includes: instructions sent via email, pre-cut pieces that cannot be done with the Poinsettia Dies, and embellishments/ribbons ribbon – no stamped sentiments are included).

FREE to anyone who purchases the In the Pines Bundle plus the Evergreen

Forest Embossing Folder and is picking up from here or $7.50 if mailing

$20.00 if you decide to skip ordering the embossing folder and is picking up from here; $27.50 if you decide to skip ordering the embossing folder and it is being mailed

Some Assembly Required Kit #3 (aka SAR kit)

This 4-card kit will be pre-stamped, pre-die cut, pre-punched, etc. All you need to do is add adhesives to assemble!!  Easy peasy!

Isn’t this just reminiscent of Christmas’s past?  The “buffalo check”

paper is from the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper and it also features

the Pine Tree Punch (page 166 of the Annual Catalog).  This card is

CASE’d from Mary Fish.

Inside Message: Peace*Joy*Love

Need a Hanukkah card – here it is! This is also inspired by

Mary Fish.  Lots of shine on this one! This utilizes the Joy Dies (page 18

of the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog), the

Stitched Stars Dies (page 183 of the Annual Catalog) and the Brightly

Gleaming Designer Series Paper (page 19 of the August-December

2020 Mini Catalog).

Inside Message: Happy wishes to you and yours

This is the most adorable card!  I CASE’d it from Berdian Weideveld.  It

uses the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper and is a Book Fold

card.

Inside Message: Happy Holidays

The final card is also a creation of Mary Fish.  The background

is from Brightly Gleaming DSP and the ornament from

The Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack (both are found on page 19

of the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog). I embossed the

ornament with the Wrapped In Texture Embossing Folder (page 9

of the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog).

Inside Message: Hanging the holly,

                         trimming the tree,

                         family and friends

                          as close as can be.

                       Merry moments,

                      sugar & spice…

                             these are the things

                that make

                       Christmas nice.

Pricing for Card Kit #3 (includes: instructions sent via email, cardstock, die-cut pieces, stamped images/messages, ribbon, and embellishments).  You may also order these without messages.

FREE to anyone who places a Stampin’ Up! merchandise order of at least $25.00.

Zoom Card Class

Last month, for the very first time😊, we had virtual card classes.  It was great to get to see and talk to people again in a classroom setting and I would like to thank everyone who participated.

Since it went well (and we completed all the cards), I will continue holding Zoom classes each month. For November, I am hoping to do the classes on the 21st and 22nd.  The dates may need t change depending on when the merchandise from Stampin’ Up! is received.  Stay tuned!!

Christmas Cards

And finally, the Christmas Cards for November. Both cards will be the assemble-only type meaning everything that requires die cutting, punching, stamping, etc. will be provided for you.  Instructions for assembly will be emailed.  You will need to provide all adhesives. Additional tools required may be a paper cutter and scissors.

Card #1:

This is CASE’d from Susan Horr. I love the color combination

of this card. It’s hard to see in this picture, but the

background is embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder.

Inside Message: Fill the season with Happiness

Card #2:

This is not only a card, but a gift card holder (see photo below for

the inside).  This year, I believe there will be a lot of gift cards given

instead of wrapped packages!  Isn’t this a festive way to package them?!

Pricing:

          1 Set (5 cards - minimum order) - $25.00 if picked up

                                                            $32.50 if mailed

You may order additional sets at the above pricing.  Mailed kits will have an

adjusted postage amount (the cost will not be known until time of shipping).

Other important information:

1.   A maximum of 3 sets of each card may be ordered.

2.   Background papers and sentiments may vary from what is shown in the photos.

Orders for these kits will be taken until November 10

Thanks for stopping by…until next time, stay safe and Happy Thanksgiving.
