November Class Dates and Projects

It's November already - that means this is your last opportunity to come to a class for the year!!  Yep, I take the month on December off to enjoy the holiday season (except for the first weekend of the month, but more about that later).

So...here we go.  Class times and dates are:

Thursday, November 10 (9:00 a.m. to noon)
Friday, November 11 (9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.)
Saturday, November 12 (9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.)
Sunday, November 13 (1:00 - 4:00 p.m.)

The Friday morning and Sunday afternoon classes are full, but I will maintain a waiting list.  Give me a call, text me or send an email if you would like to sign up and haven't done so already.  Reserve your spot today!

Would you like to see the projects?  Aren't you just a little curious, hmmm?
Okay, take a look...

Because of the complexity of this card, we will
only be completing 3 cards this month. But...
they are great cards and I absolutely adore this
first one.  I don't remember where I saw this,
but it was CASE'd from someone in my
Udderly Awesome Group.

As if it isn't cute enough from the outside,
take a look at the inside of the card.
I love it; love it; love it!!!!

Then we'll move on to two Thanksgiving cards.
I CASE'd this card from ButterDishDesigns.com
Isn't it a nice, simple card?  It utilizes the
Totally Trees stamp set, which happens to be
a favorite of mine.

And, it isn't Thanksgiving without pumpkins.
This card is one of Cindee Wilkinson's designs.
We're back to using that great stamp set, Thoughtful
Branches.  By the way, I hope you purchased it because
it is no longer available!

Two other things I would like to mention.  If you have been thinking about joining a "Club" or would like to know what a Club is all about, contact me and I'll fill you in.  We will begin new clubs for the 2017 year in January, but you need to let me know by December 15 if you want to join the fun.

And, if you would like to get your Christmas cards made all in one fell swoop, then join us the first weekend in December (1-4) for a Christmas Card Retreat. I have information available for that also. Act fast as the deadline to let me know is November 19.

Thank you for your support this past year and taking time to check out my blog.

Wishing you and yours a merry holiday season!

October Classes and Projects

I just got back from a "fall color" trip to Colorado and I am so into the Autumn season!!  The Aspen trees were absolutely breathtaking. What an inspiration and rejuvenation, ahhhhh.

So...would you like to know when the October classes are?  Here goes:

Thursday, October 13 (9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.)
Friday, October 14 (9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.)
Saturday, October 15 (9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.)
Sunday, October 16 (1:00 to 4:00 p.m.)

If you haven't had the opportunity to schedule yourself for a class, please give me a call, text me or send me an email. Friday morning and Saturday morning classes are already full, but I will start a waiting list for anyone who cannot make it for another time slot.

Now for the "good" part - the projects!!!  Are you ready?  Okay, here they are...

Isn't this little guy adorable?  I CASE'd this card
from Patty Bennett and Cindee Wilkinson.  I combined
elements from both of their cards to make this one.

Look how cute the sunflower is!
I got this great idea from Linda Cullen. She created the
sunflower by using the Thoughtful Branches
stamp set and Beautiful Branches Thinlits .  It is
a wonderful card for fall, or as a thank you, or a
birthday or a Thanksgiving card.  Very versatile!

When I saw the "Detailed Santa Thinlit", I couldn't
wait to make something with it.  Talk about
easy!!  It is teamed with the host stamp set,
Time of Year.  And the glitter (hard to see in the
picture) gives it the added "pop" that it needed.

And, finally, another lovely card using the
 "Thoughtful Branches" stamp set.
This makes me think of cool breezes
and brisk autumn mornings.  Great card
for male birthdays, too.

By the way, the Thoughtful Branches stamp set and Beautiful Branches Thinlits bundle is still available for purchase, BUT only while supplies last. If you haven't gotten yours yet, please contact me and I'll be happy to place your order for you.  This one is certainly a "keeper".

And, there you have it.  I'm done for this month.  Until November...have a wonderful month and safe Halloween!!

Thanks for stopping by.

September Class Schedule and Projects

This is going to be a quick post this month since I'm out of town and won't get back until close to Class time.

So here we go...class dates and times are as follows:

     Thursday, September 8: 9:00 a.m. - noon and 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.
     Friday, September 9: 9:00 a.m. - noon and 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.
     Saturday, September 10: 9:00 a.m. - noon and 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.
     Sunday, September 11: 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

I have availability for all classes except Sunday.  Give me a call, text me or email me if you haven't reserved your spot yet.

And, now for the projects (All cards, except for the Halloween card, have been CASE'd from other Stampin' Up! demonstrators. I'm sorry for not giving them credit for their creation, but I don't have the information with me):

When I saw this card, I loved the simplicity
and beauty of it.  This is a great card for
all occasions!

This Halloween card was my creation.  I actually
used fabric for the background.  Cute, huh?!

Another quick and easy Christmas card.

This card is one that is perfect for making with
a variety of messages and giving as teachers' gifts,
hostess gifts or a thank you present.

One last thing.  Have you looked at the Holiday Catalog yet?  It is to-die-for!! If you haven't seen it yet, let me know and I'll get a catalog to you.  I'm telling you, you'll start drooling as you thumb through the pages!!

Gotta go, so thanks for taking a look and I'll be back next month.

August Classes and "Limited Edition" Bundle

It's seems like only yesterday that I was wishing you a happy summer and now it's almost over.  Wow!

And here's something else to make you say, "Wow!".  Stampin' Up! is offering a Limited Edition Stamp set and matching Thinlits - yep, that's what I said, "LIMITED EDITION".  It is available while supplies last or August 31; whichever comes first.  You have to check it out (go to my website to see it) - there are a ton of great stamps that come with the set and the thinlits are so-o-o super cute!!! You can purchase just the stamp set or the thinlits or buy the bundle and save 10%.  Allright - enough about the Bundle.

Here are the class dates and times for August:
     Thursday, August 18 (9:00 a.m. - noon and 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.)
     Friday, August 19 (9:00 a.m. - noon and 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.)
     Saturday, August 20 (9:00 a.m. - noon and 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.)
     Sunday, August 21 (1:00 - 4:00 p.m.)

I have availability in all classes except Thursday and Friday mornings.  I will start a waiting list for those class times.  If you haven't reserved your space yet, give me a call or email or text me.  And, here are the projects:

Because of the limited time frame, all of the projects this month are made with the Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set and Beautiful Branches Thinlits.  I really wanted to showcase the versatility of this Bundle.

This card is CASE'd from Chantal DeKaste who is part
of the Artisan Stamp Team at Stampin' Up! Stamping the
background and adding vellum on top of it gives a
beautiful, soft look. Just lovely.

I have seen several cards using this "tree" as a hydrangea
and I loved them.  So...I made this one using vellum and the
small jar die from the Everyday Jars Framelits. Sponge Pool
Party ink to give it a "water" look and, "ta, da!".

When I saw this evergreen stamp in the set, I knew I
had my Christmas card design for this month.  And I really
like that the birds are die cuts, too - no fussy cutting on this!

And, our last card for this month.  I CASE'd this card from
Linda Callahan. Fall is right around the corner and
this card certainly portrays it.  Can't you feel the chill
in the air and see leaves swirling around in the
breeze?

Well, that does it for August.  Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check back next month!!

July Class Dates and Projects

Hello, hello everyone!!

I hope you are having a fun, safe summer; I know I am!  We are getting together with friends, traveling to see relatives and doing some sight seeing. I can't believe how busy this month as gotten to be - I love it!!!!!

Class dates:
Thursday, July 28 (9:00 am to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 pm)
Friday, July 29 (9:00 am to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 pm)
Saturday, July 30 (9:00 am to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 pm)
     Sunday, July 31 (1:00 to 4:00 pm)

I have availability in all classes except Saturday morning and Sunday. I will maintain a waiting list for those times.  If you haven't reserved your spot, give me a call, send me a text or email me your preferences.

Let's move on to the projects...

This card utilizes the flower from the Sunshine Wishes
Thinlits. I die-cut 3 flowers and cut off the stem to form
the full flower.

Not sure where I saw this card, but it is CASE'd
from Rosanne Mulhern. I loved the look of it and
knew it belonged in one of the classes - so, waalaa!!

I decided that starting in July, we would make
one Christmas card per class to allow those who only need
a few cards to have a supply ready to go by December.
This design may look familiar and that's because it
is the same as last month's 4th of July card. Just changed it
into a Christmas card - nice, don't you think?!

The last card was seen on Pinterest and I don't have a
name to give credit to whomever designed it.  I'm in
love with the new Swirly Scribbles Thinlits dies.  You'll be
seeing a lot of cards using this set in the future,
guarantee it!!

Well, that's it for now.  Enjoy the sunshine and warm breezy days!  Thanks for stopping by....

June Classes

Hello Everyone!!  June - the beginning of summer; picnics; vacations; more hours of daylight; ahh....  It also means that we are six months into the year and - I can't believe I'm going to say this, BUT Christmas will be here before we know it!!!!!  Too much for you to think about?  I get it...let's talk about classes for June; they are listed below:

Thursday, June 9; Friday, June 10; and Saturday, June 11
            (9:00 am - noon and 1:30 - 4:30 pm)
Sunday, June 12 (1:00 - 4:00 pm)

I have availability for all classes except Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon. The calendar becomes quite fluid once I send out reminders to those already signed up, so I may end up with openings for all classes.  Give me a call, send me an email or text me to find out.  Class fee is $15.00.

Here are our cards for this month:

This card was on posted on Splitcoaststampers by
CreateWithChristy.  I know, I know, the Birthday Bouquet
Desginer Series Paper retired on May 31 - I'm sorry,
but I just loved this card and had to use it for a class project.

I decided we needed to make a 4th of July card, so
this is it.  It can also be changed into a birthday card
by using the brand new stamp set - Perfectly Wrapped.
Not sure you can see it clearly, but I used the Dazzling Diamonds
Gimmer paper for the star inserts.  Love it!!

Isn't this simply elegant?!  One of my students/customers
made this card for me.  I really like the look of it and decided to
"borrow" her idea and use it in class.

I'm not sure where I saw this card, but thought it was adorable.
It is made with the Swirly Bird stamp set and Swirly Scribbles
Thinlits.  Both are available in the NEW 2016-2017 STAMPIN' UP!
CATALOG (Bundle the two products and get 10% off)
And, speaking of catalogs, if you haven't gotten one yet and would
like one, please let me know.

Thanks for looking...see you next month!!

May - Classes and Retiring Product!

I love May - there is something about it that just tugs at my heart.  Maybe it's spring fever; who knows? I DO know that this month brings Mother's Day, graduations, birthdays - lots of reasons to get busy making cards for those who are special in your life.  Take a look at what we are doing in class this month:

This is a great male-oriented card. I'm thinking
father's day or birthday or just thinking about you.

I mentioned that May brings graduations, so this
card can be customized to your graduates
school colors.  Or, you can easily turn the same
card into a general note card, Mother's Day
card, birthday card, sympathy card...the
choice is yours!  See the example below that
shows the same design only it's turned vertically and
 I added the butterfly.

How about this card - classy, isn't it?!

And...finally. another card geared toward men. I
CASE'd this card from Lisa Young. I love the
styling - masculine with a touch of softness.

Those are our projects.  Why not join us?  Class times and dates are as follows:

     Thursday, May 12 (9:00 am to noon and 1:30 - 4:30 pm)
     Friday, May 13 (9:00 am to noon and 1:30 - 4:30 pm)
     Saturday, May 14 (9:00 am to noon and 1:30 - 4:30 pm)
     Sunday, May 15 (1:00 - 4:00 pm)

I have availability in all classes, so contact me to sign up.

One other thing - this is the final month to order from the 2015-2016 Idea Book and Catalog. If you have been meaning to buy that stamp set or paper and keep forgetting, get it now before it's gone!

Thanks for looking - until next time...be safe.

April Happenings

Okay - April... Warmer weather. Fresh breezes. Sunny days. Rebirth. Changes.
All of that goes for Stampin' Up!, too. I have a few things to tell you about.

First - The Weekly Deals are going to cease on April 18. Stampin' Up! will occasionally have "specials" instead.

Next - Stampin' Up! On Stage Live (formerly known as Convention) is coming to Salt Lake City on April 14-16. It will be exciting to see what the company has in store for us during the 2016-2017 year - new products; new stamps; new techniques - ahhhhh!

Finally - On April 18 the discontinuing stamp sets list will be available. You'll then have until May 31 to get any of the products before they disappear. So sad...

Classes - Here are the class times for April along with the projects we will be doing:

     Thursday, April 21  (9:00 - noon and 1:30 - 4:30 pm)
     Friday, April 22  (9:00 - noon and 1:30 - 4:30 pm)
     Saturday, April 23  (9:00 - noon and 1:30 - 4:30 pm)
     Sunday, April 24  (1:00 - 4:00 pm)

I currently have space available in all classes except for Thursday morning and Sunday afternoon.  Please call, text or email if you would like to participate.

And, now, ta-da; the projects. I wanted to utilize products found in the Occasions Catalog since we only have until May 31 to order from it. Here you go:

This card is using the Rose Wonder stamp set and
Rose Garden Thinlits. It is a simple design, but a
little labor intensive.  Well worth the work!!

I pretty much cased this one from the Occasions Catalog utilizing
the Party Pop-up Thinlits. You can check it out on page 7.
And below is the inside of the card.  It seems like we are always
looking for "guy" cards - this one fits the bill!

This card may look familiar - and it should!  We did
the exact style card last month, BUT some of the classes
didn't get to make it.  Therefore, those who did make it
in March, will make this one in April. The inside of the card
is shown below.

This is another card that is good for the males in your life.
I call this an "engineered" card in that it has multiple
layers and flaps.  It is hard to see in these photos, but there is
the Wink of Stella Glitter on the flowers (You can find it on page 24
of the Occasions Catalog).  And, again, below is showing the fold
and part of the interior.

That's all I have for this month. Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.  Have a great month and hope to see you in class!!!

March Classes and Projects

March came in like a lamb and is going CRAZY BUSY!!!  In addition to birthday and anniversary and get well and sympathy cards to make, there is St. Patrick's Day and then Easter...so many opportunities to be creative, sigh - better get started!!

Classes are next weekend and here is the schedule:
Thursday, March 10 (9:00 am to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 pm)
Friday, March 11 (9:00 am to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 pm)
Saturday, March 12 (9:00 am to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 pm)
     Sunday, March 13 (1:00 to 4:00 pm)

I have availability for all classes except Thursday and Saturday morning.  I will start a waiting list for those classes.

Now for the projects:

All of the cards are focusing on products out of the Occasions Catalog or the Sale-A-Bration Catalog.  Remember Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31, so get those orders in by then!!

This card, by Becky Roberts, was on Splitcoaststampers.
It can easily be transformed into a male-oriented card
by putting a sentiment in place of the flower and
adding texture to the white background. Very versatile.

Next is one that comes directly (almost) from the
Sale-A-Bration pamphlet. I really love this stamp set
and had to showcase it before it goes away at the end
of the month.  Very simple, but impressive.

 Here's a cutie.  I received a Valentine's Day card
with this "fold" design and knew I needed to replicate it into
a class project.  So...here it is.  I know it is hard to see the
dimension of the card, but isn't it darling?  And, below
is the back of it.  It folds flat, but pops up
when you take it out of the envelope.

And, lastly, this folded card was one made by
Patty Bennett.  Easy to make, but those receiving it
will be impressed by the engineering of it.  The picture
below shows the inside of the card.

Well, folks, that's it for this month.  See you in April!  Thanks for stopping by.

February News, Classes and Projects

Let's see...what's new that I need to tell you about?  Well...

Sale-A-Bration is in full swing and this year, Stampin' Up! has offered a new concept. The items on pages 16-19 are going away on February 15. They are limited-time offers, so if you want to get one of those, you need to get your order in by the 15th.  After that time, a new selection of items will replace those.  I love this idea; more products from which to choose!!!!!

Classes for February are going to be:
          Thursday, February 11 (9:00-noon and 1:30-4:30 pm)
          Friday, February 12 (9:00-noon and 1:30-4:30 pm)
          Saturday, February 13 (9:00-noon and 1:30-4:30 pm)
          Sunday, February 14 (1:00 to 4:00 pm)

I have availability for all classes except Saturday afternoon, so give me a call, send me an email or shoot me a text to reserve your spot.

     And, here are the projects:

Isn't this the cutest card?  Perfect for Valentine's Day,
birthdays, anniversaries or just thinking about you.
Not sure where I saw this, but I think it was on Pinterest.

I love the softness of this card.  It is a great way to welcome
spring or Easter. You can even make  it a birthday card.
Thanks to Cindee Wilkinson for sharing this design.

The original of this card was posted by PapercraftBoutique on
Splitcoaststampers.  Love, love, love this bundle (Botanical Blooms
stamp set, Botanical Garndens DSP and Botanical Builder Framelits).
It makes a great Easter card.

Since St. Patrick's Day and Easter fall in the same month this year,
I needed to have cards that celebrate both holidays. I chose this
one as my St. Patrick's Day card.  If you don't use the
shamrock, it can be a note card. This was CASE'd from Chris Smith.

Until next month, Happy Valentine's Day everyone!  And, thanks for looking.

January 2016 - It's a New Year! Time to Stamp!

Okay - January has come too fast for me and I'm behind on everything... but, I'm moving forward anyway.  Just taking it one day at a time and accomplishing as much as possible.  So, it's time to get back into stamping OR if you have never stamped before, it's time to join the fun. Clear your calendar and spend a few hours forgetting about everything and losing yourself in the excitement of creating. Here are the class/club dates and times:

     Thursday, January 14: 9:00 am - noon and 1:30 - 4:30 pm
     Friday, January 15: 9:00 am - noon and 1:30 - 4:30 pm
     Saturday, January 16: 9:00 am - noon and 1:30 - 4:30 pm
     Sunday, January 17: 1:00 - 4:00 pm

There is avail space in all class/club times except Friday morning and Saturday afternoon.  If that is when you wanted to come, give me a call anyway because the schedule becomes quite "liquid" as the time nears - I could possibly have a cancellation.

Don't wait: call, email or text me today and reserve your spot!

Now...for the exciting part.  THE CLASS PROJECTS - YAY!!!!!

As soon as I saw this stamp set and dies in the Occasions Catalog, I went bonkers!! I knew this would be the focus for my January classes.  We will make both of these cards with Valentine's Day in mind, BUT they are just as easily made into a birthday card or anniversary card.
Pretty versatile!!!

I saw a similar card on Pinterest and thought it was too cute.
Isn't that "owl builder" punch great.  We've made owls, penguins
and, now, cats!  Too cute!!

Here is another one that is CASE'd from Sandy Hancock.
I love the softness of this card. And, speaking of totally awesome,
this is a shoutout to all my club members and students.

YOU ARE TOTALLY AWESOME!!!

That's it for January.  Hope you like them and thanks for stopping by.
